Project Context

A Mobile Workflow Connecting Citizens & Police

The Police Club application was designed around a practical public-safety workflow: make it easier to submit structured lost and missing reports while giving authorized officers tools to review and manage those reports.

Instead of treating the project as a simple reporting form, the application was designed as a role-based system with separate experiences for civilians and police officers, supported by a backend and notification infrastructure.

The Challenge

Designing for Two Very Different Users

The main challenge was creating a simple experience for citizens while still giving authorized officers enough control to manage reports and case status.

Manual Reporting

Reporting lost or missing people, pets and valuables could require physical interaction with authorities, creating friction for citizens.

Scattered Information

Lost and found information needed a centralized digital system where reports could be searched and reviewed.

Different User Roles

The application needed different workflows for citizens submitting reports and authorized police officers managing cases.

Case Follow-up

Users needed a way to receive updates when reports changed status or when relevant information became available.

Application Workflow

How the Police Club System Works

A structured workflow helps move a report from submission to review and status updates.

01

Citizen Creates Report

A user submits relevant information, images and location details for the missing person, pet, vehicle or item.

02

Report Enters the System

The report is stored centrally and becomes available through the appropriate application workflow.

03

Search & Review

Users can search reports while authorized officers review and manage relevant cases.

04

Case Status Updates

Police officers can update the status of reports and manage cases through their role-specific interface.

05

Notifications

Firebase-powered notifications help communicate important case updates to users.

Role-Based Access

Police officers receive a different workflow from civilian users based on their authorized role.

Report Search

Authorized users can review and search submitted reports across supported categories.

Case Management

Officers can manage report status and update cases through the application workflow.

Notifications

Important report and status changes can be communicated through push notifications.

Project Outcome

A Role-Based Mobile Platform for Public Safety Workflows
